About Robert J. Holland

Robert ACT061809Robert J. Holland has managed award-winning publications, developed strategic communication plans, and managed media relations. For nearly 25 years, he has helped leading organizations discover the power of communication to add value to the bottom line. He owns Holland Communication Solutions, a full-service communication consulting practice. Prior to that, he held communication leadership positions with AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Capital One Financial.

Robert also has taught seminars and workshops at local, regional and national conferences and is an adjunct faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Mass Communication. He has written essays and articles for leading publications like The Ragan Report, the Journal of Employee Communication Management, and Communication World. Robert wrote an award-winning column, “Communication at Work,” on www.richmond.com before the website’s format change prompted him to start this blog. He is the author of the manual, “Prove Your Worth: The Complete Guide to Measuring the Business Value of Communication,” published by Ragan Communications.

Robert served three years on the executive board of the International Association of Business Communicators, serving as president of the Richmond chapter in 1993 and 2003. He is a member of the Richmond chapter, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
